I use vegetable oil when I am cooking because people say it is good for you. Do you think vegetable oil is good for my family?

I actually heard that Canola is better than vegetable. In fact, I hear that Olive Oil is better. I guess I use Canola because it is not as expensive as Olive. Please provide some guidance.

Please look at the page of the eatsmart website under planning meals (www.eatsmart.umd.edu/feed/planningmeals_fat.cfm) Some of the unsaturated fats (aka good fats) can be found in cooking oils such as olive, canola, soybean, and corn oils. It is healthier to use a vegetable oil such as olive oil to replace butter and lard. (Note: You must be logged in to view this information.)
