Increasing daily activity
- Your exercise can be done all at one time,
or spread out over the day.
- Small changes can make a big difference over
time.
- Park further away, stretch, climb stairs.
- On really busy days, try doing 10 minutes of
exercise three times a day.
- For a quick workout, try climbing your stairs
for 5-10 minutes.
- Do a few minutes of fast jumping jacks when
TV commercials come on.
- Exercise while watching TV. Use hand weights,
jog in place, or stretch.
- Walk, cycle, jog, skate, etc., to work, school,
the store, or place of worship.
- Park the car farther away from where you are going.
- Get on or off the bus several blocks away.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator or
escalator.
- Go out for a short walk before breakfast, after
dinner or both!
